ABOUT THE COMPANY . . .

In 1936, with the country recovering from the great depression, Len A. Maune made a difficult decision.  Without prospects for further income,  he resigned his position as Vice President of Sales with a large athletic equipment manufacturer over managements failure to honor a bonus agreement.  With previous thoughts of becoming a manufacturer's representative, he decided to form the Len A. Maune Company. Thus the present company came into being over a difference in integrity between an employee and his employer.  This same sense of ethics remains the cornerstone of the Company's business philosophy and relationship with its customers, business associates and employees.

Mays-Maune & Associates, Inc. is a unique hybrid of two local company's founded by Len A. Maune (Len A. Maune Company, est. 1936) and Henry C. Sharp (H.C. Sharp Company, est. 1945)  While each traces it's history to differing products and uses i.e. exterior "Architectural" products vs. interior "Mechanical" systems. The fact remains, that each has a rich and storied history of success in the construction industry . . . and common bond: Their success and longevity have always depended upon their service to the customer, quality of the product, the salesman's knowledge of the product, personal contacts and support by the company to insure that a project is completed on-time, under budget and to the satisfaction of the Owner and/or Developer, Architect and General Contractor.

The Maune Company, H.C. Sharp Company and now Mays-Maune & Associates headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri has been a part of the construction industry for over sixty-eight years (1936-2004) furnishing building products for new and existing non-residential buildings.
